My Top Team

In February 2020, I recorded “My top Team” with Rangers TV.

The players I have chosen are ones that I have worked with as young academy players prior to making their first team debuts. These players are ones that I had a special relationship with and feel very lucky to have seen them playing as young boys at the very start of their journey.

To pick just 11 players is never an easy thing to do, and I originally had a list of over 40 players that I needed to narrow down to the final team.

See below for the video of the players who made the starting 11 and those who were also given a special mention.

The Team

The other players listed include (Chelsea FC) Jay Da Silva, Dominic Solanke, Chris Mepham, Charlie Colkett, Dan Kemp, Reece James, Eddie Nkietah, Harvey St Clair, Jordan Houghton, Calum Hudson Odoi, Rhian Brewster, Jake Clarke Salter, Tariq Lamptey (Liverpool FC) Ovie Ejaria, Sheyi Ojo, Ben Woodburn, Cam Brannagan, Conor Coady, Joao Teixeira, Jordan Ibe, Curtis Jones, Jordan Rossiter, Jerome Sinclair, Sergi Canos, Pedro Chirivella, Yan Dhanda, Kris Peterson (Sao Paulo FC) Eder Militao, Luis Araujo, Lucas Fernandes, Felipe Araruna, Junior, Lyanco, Brenner, Igor Gomes. There is many more who I can mention also from the three clubs. .

Above is a mix of players from different nationalities – English, Scottish, Welsh, Nigerian, Portuguese, Swedish, Brazilian, Spanish, French, Ivorian, Polish – They are now playing in the top leagues across Europe and full national teams. Lots of outstanding talents and will be exciting to see how they progress and develop over the coming years.
